Enthusiasm everywhere!

Yuki Kakiuchi, laureate 52nd international young conductors competition Besançon

“Ombres by Michael Jarell was a really difficult piece, difficult to understand, difficult to get beyond the point of just organizing the notes, but actually turning them into music. I guess every candidate was slightly worried about this part of the programme. But during the general rehearsal the orchestra played so phantastic that I realized I didn’t need to worry anymore. And indeed, the concert was amazing. Thanks to all the musicians!”

David Daurier, Arte
"Thanks for your wonderful performance this whole week in Besançon. We have some wonderful souvenirs of us filming the Brussels Philharmonic playing so well.
Thanks to all the musicians for their kindness!"

David Olivera, festival international de musique Besançon
« Nous avons été très heureux de recevoir le Brussels Philharmonic à Besançon. C'est un orchestre magnifique qui a en outre fait preuve d'un enthousiasme remarquable pour le Concours. »

Gergely Madaras, finalist 52nd international young conductors competition Besançon
“I have worked with many orchestra’s, but I have never seen an orchestra before that was so flexible, so open for new ideas, so willingly adapting them. The enthusiasm of the musicians has truly touched me, the communication between us was just perfect. I enjoyed working with Brussels Philharmonic a lot!”
