Coming up: A much anticipated return to Germany

Brussels Philharmonic Hits the Road again: preparations for the Fall Tour in Germany, 2015, are in full swing

The Brussels Philharmonic is making its much anticipated return to Germany this week, under the direction of Conductor Emeritus Michel Tabachnik, and just in time to catch changing leaves and autumn’s finest colors.

The Brussels Philharmonic will take in the sights and sounds of six cities on this tour and will be accompanied by two gifted soloists, rising star Edgar Moreau on cello and accomplished pianist Nelson Freire. The company will travel from the westernmost city in Germany to the centre of the Ruhr. First stop: Aachen on Saturday, 7 November. From there, Wiesbaden (8 Nov), Stuttgart (9 Nov), Regensburg (10 Nov), Manheim (11 Nov), and a final stop at the marvelous, state of the art Philharmonie Essen on Thursday November 12.

The programme features a blend of German, French and Russian composers such as Stravinsky, Saint-Saëns, Strauss, Schumann and Brahms.

Join us on the road-look out for blog posts and photos to come! And for those who would like to hear the orchestra and can’t make it to Germany, join us in Brussels at Bozar Thursday night (5 november 2015) for the last concert before we take off!
